Meet the Team

Ros (Vet)
Ros qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1992 and has owned Cootes since 2002. She grew up in the area and went to Chailey Secondary School. She is very proud of the 'Cootes family' we have created and of all her staff. She strives to deliver an excellent standard of care for your pets and always tries to treat your pets as she would want her own to be treated. She is the owner of a bouncy, chocolate Labrador called Lulu.

She sadly lost her elderly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel recently.  Over the years Sue has had a range of pets but currently the family includes an escapologist hamster called Iris and three hens, Dippy, Nugget and Beryl, who have recently moved in.

I moved away with my husband and then another little person joined our family.

I have recently returned to Cootes in September 2015 and am enjoying my place settling back in to a familiar role again.

I enjoy the varied aspect of my job and particularly love inpatient care

Melissa (Veterinary Nurse)

I began studying animal care and husbandry in 2001 at Plumpton College, this was a First Degree in Animal Care course. This then progressed me onto the Veterinary Nurse Diploma where I continued my studies for the next few years. I finally qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2006.

I have worked in several Veterinary Practices within the Sussex and Surrey areas.

I have an 8 year old little boy called Jaiden who keeps me very busy, so I currently only work part time.
