Caring for our community

Autism Life Dogs
An award-winning, not-for-profit organisation providing therapy support dogs for children and families with autism and related developmental difficulties.

Megan looks after and helps train the dogs the therapy programme ready for their new forever home.

Allsorts Dog Rescue
Primarily setup to find homes for unwanted, unloved and abandoned dogs in Sussex. Many dogs are strays that have been picked up by various local councils and passed onto us for re-homing. In some cases allsorts take dogs that are 24hrs or less away from being destroyed.

Cootes often have donations of leftover food, treats, blankets & newspaper that we will give straight to Allsorts. They help rehome dogs locally

Paws & Claws
A small cat rescue charity, founded in 1977 covering the Mid Sussex area. Paws & Claws have many lovely cats looking for adoption who would love a new home.

Cootes often have donations of leftover food, blankets, baskets & treats that we will pass on to Paws & Claws. We also do fundraising for the charity at Cootes, and give this money as a donation.

Sussex Caring Pets
A local registered Charity that promotes the benefits of animal assisted therapy for those in need.

Ros is the patron of Sussex Caring Pets and provides reduced cost healthcare and free vaccinations for all pets used in the charity at Cootes.

Happy Breed Foundation
Ros has worked with Happy Breed for over 15 years and continues to support their work.

Set up to award grants to people on a low income who cannot afford to care adequately for their dog and also to award grants to other small reputable, registered, dog charities which are struggling financially.

Cootes are proud to provide Happy Breed with their veterinary care and any assistance they may need. Cootes also hold an annual Dog Show in support to raise money for the Happy Breed Foundation. We also do fundraising for the charity at Cootes, and give this money as a donation.

Raystede Animal Welfare
Raystede believe that every animal deserves to live a happy life free from cruelty and suffering. They rescue, re-home and provide sanctuary to more than 2000 animals each year.

Cootes put together a lovely box of goodies for the kids at Raystede this Christmas!! We hope you enjoy all of your goodies !
